Cyclist inferiority
This seems to be a general attitude in the U.S. However, I noted that since I took the safety class, I am more 'aggressive', in that I act like a car much more. I have noted that once cars figure out you are a car, they will treat you with more respect. Maybe this observation is due to a low sample size, maybe not. But I feel more comfortable riding in traffic now.

TrekLady001@aol.com:I read the article again. I think of the bike/car issue more like the stronger/weaker relationship. Obviously, if there is physical contact between the two, the weaker will suffer. So, highway laws should serve to protect the weaker, hence give the weaker a place to ride (bike lane). Wishing there were concrete embankments around the bike lane...or set times where only bikes could be on the road.
